In the absence of your physical presence , I find instead White Space . Inside this erasure , traces or echoes of mundane lay dormant : lightness , weight , etc .
Through motion and breath inside this space where shadow and light play against these remnants, a disparate piece joins itself to another and into new form
White Space Series is a meditation on specific extracted traits from particular stories . Created in 4 weeks inside an abandoned room using found-material as paint , each trait was put into a meditation-in-motion . This piece was created in collaboration as part of Projet Valise’s Leitbilder Series . The figure inside each of these works is a physical reference for the everyday .
These first 3 volumes were inspired by and are dedicated to Steve Sproutman Meyerowitz : 23 July 195O to 9 September 2O15 .
